Born and raised in a small town in Washington State, Jennifer was the youngest—and only girl—of six children. She came to faith in Jesus just before turning sixteen, and by twenty, she had stepped into full-time service in missions. While serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Amsterdam, she started dating Dwayne. They married soon after and began their lifelong journey of ministry together.
For over three decades, Jennifer has served in ministry, living in four countries and traveling to more than forty-five. These global experiences have deeply shaped her perspective, enriching her understanding of the Church, culture, and the diverse ways God is moving throughout the nations. Her journey reflects a life marked by faith, adaptability, and a wholehearted commitment to seeing God’s purposes fulfilled across the earth.
A lifelong encourager, she has a passion for helping others grow in faith, navigate life with courage, and discover the presence of God in every season. Together with her husband, Dwayne, Jennifer has ministered in a wide range of contexts—from pioneering church plants and prayer rooms to nurturing house churches and mentoring young leaders.
Jennifer spent nearly ten years with YWAM in Europe, including six years in Amsterdam and four years as a founding team member of the YWAM missions base in Budapest, where their oldest daughter, Sydney, was born. Whether serving in leadership, discipling young believers, or speaking at conferences and gatherings, Jennifer’s voice is marked by a rare combination of authenticity, humor, and spiritual depth. She has a passion for encouraging people in their faith, especially women, helping them encounter Jesus with honesty and resilience.
In 1998, she and Dwayne relocated to Kansas City, where they helped pioneer the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC). As a mother of three and a leader in the prayer room, Jennifer helped shape the rhythms of family life and faith in the midst of a growing ministry environment.
In 2013, they moved to Brazil, planting a church and establishing a prayer room that would grow into a thriving community known nationwide for its worship and spiritual vitality. Their time in Brazil became a fruitful chapter of leadership, mentoring, and presence-based ministry.
After returning to the U.S., Jennifer helped lead a local church in Denver through the complexities of the pandemic and deep social unrest. These years became a crucible of personal and corporate reflection on the nature of the Church in a historic shaking of the church.
In 2021, she and Dwayne returned to Kansas City and began to build a network of house churches. As difficult truths began surfacing within IHOPKC, Jennifer stood alongside her husband in advocating for truth, healing, and justice. Her deep compassion for people and commitment to integrity have been a constant source of strength for their family and for the many they’ve walked with over the years.
